Acids are by-products of biodiesel production.

• Fatty Acid: Fatty Acid is a product obtained through the neutralisation of vegetable oils or animal fats obtained through biodiesel production, which is a by-product of the treatment of glycerine that is separated in the esterification process.
• Olein: Olein is a product obtained through the neutralisation of vegetable oils or animal fat obtained from the production of biodiesel.
• Sludge: Sludge is a by-product of the vegetable oil and animal fat refining industry, it is formed by water, saponified fatty acids, triglycerides, phosphatides and other compounds in smaller quantities. It has a high content of saponified fatty acids and is formed during the neutralisation stage of the chemical refining of the fatty material.
